Moostery Challenge

'Moostery' Challenge was great fun. We had to share some details about our area and our school, then find out about the different areas in NZ, especially landmarks associated with these. We did some map reading and learned about compass directions so that we could try and find our mystery school. We had to Skype and ask yes/no questions to locate them. They were faster than us and guessed who we were first!

Room 12 had fun setting some world records and challenging each other to try and break these.

Our 'School Kit' Writing

Room 12 took part in 'Get NZ Writing' - it was challenging and so much fun.
We explored sights and sounds outside the classroom, thought about awesome descriptive language and turned this into poetry. We also learnt about similes and metaphors and wrote some of our own. Some of the stages we went through and the finished products are below.
We are all very proud of what we have achieved.
